This set includes a sheet of 6 assorted labels.

The labels will not be pre-cut. You will need to cut the labels apart using a rotary cutter and acrylic ruler.

Your labels will be printed on 8.5 x 11" white, cotton, or polyester fabric ready for you to cut and apply to your quilt.

Each label measures differently according to the design.

We have 2 different options for you to choose from:
______________________
COTTON SEW-ON
- These labels are backed with HeatnBond FEATHERLIGHT
adhesive backing that will temporarily hold your label in place while you sew it to your quilt.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT COTTON QUILT LABELS ------------------------------------------------------------------- - The backing that will be applied to cotton labels will help the labels to be fray resistant. They are not fray-proof. - Our pigment inks used on cotton labels make the labels fade-resistant but not colorfast so we recommend washing them on delicate using cold water and hung to dry or cool dry. - To help prevent fraying, it is recommended to fold under a seam allowance prior to applying the label to your quilt.

POLYESTER SEW-ON
-These labels are sew only. These are super soft and durable. Perfect for quilts that will receive lots of love and use, requiring a lot of laundering. There is no backing applied to these labels. They are printed on brushed polyester fabric using permanent sublimation ink that will last forever. The design will never wash or wear off. They can be laundered without any special considerations. These labels last as long as the quilt.

Cotton vs. Polyester Comparison

  • Cotton (Sew-On): Natural, cotton with a classic look. Best for quilts that will be gently cared for. Fade-resistant, but must follow gentle wash care instructions. Ideal for gentle use or display quilts. Backed with HeatnBond FEATHERLIGHT to hold it in place while you sew and reduce fraying.
  • Polyester (Sew-On): Non-Stretch with a soft brushed finish. Best for quilts that will undergo frequent washing or heavy use. Permanently printed and fade-proof.  Perfect for gifting, ensuring the label remains intact and vibrant over time.

Quick Tip:

If your quilt will live mostly on a bed or wall and be gently cared for — cotton is classic.

If your quilt will be gifted, used daily, or needs to survive the wash over and over — polyester is your best friend!

Quilt Label Application

  • Cotton Labels: Backed with HeatnBond Featherlight. Temporarily holds label in place while sewing. To reduce fraying, fold edges under before stitching.

  • Polyester Labels: Trim and sew directly onto your quilt. Optional to fold edges under—extra fabric is included for that.

Label Care Instructions

  • Cotton Labels: Wash on delicate with cold water. Hang to dry or use a low setting. Avoid high heat to preserve print. Not fully colorfast.
  • Polyester Labels: No special care needed. Machine washable, fade-proof, and long-lasting.

Lovely product

Ordered for a handmade quilt gift, so I got the polyester version with permanent ink. Easy to cut to size and stitch on. Washed perfectly, and softened beautifully with the quilt cottons. This is now my home for labels!
