We have 3 different options for you to choose from:
______________________
COTTON SEW-ON
- These labels are backed with HeatnBond FEATHERLIGHT
adhesive backing that will temporarily hold your label in place
while you sew it to your quilt.
ABOUT THE COTTON:
-------------------------------------------
- The backing that will be applied to cotton labels will help the labels to be fray-resistant. They are not fray-proof.
- Our pigment inks used on cotton labels make the labels fade-resistant but not colorfast so we recommend washing them on delicate using cold water and hung to dry or cool dry.
- To help prevent fraying, it is recommended to fold under a
seam allowance prior to applying the label to your quilt.

POLYESTER SEW-ON
-These labels are sew only. These are fantastic for quilts and blankets that will get a lot of loving and washing. There is no backing applied to these labels. They are printed on brushed polyester fabric using permanent sublimation ink that will last forever. The design will never wash or wear off. This is a great option because this fabric does NOT fray! They can be laundered without any special considerations. These labels last as long as the quilt.

Cotton vs. Polyester Comparison
Cotton vs. Polyester Comparison
- Cotton (Sew-On): Natural, cotton with a classic look. Best for quilts that will be gently cared for. Fade-resistant, but must follow gentle wash care instructions. Ideal for gentle use or display quilts. Backed with HeatnBond FEATHERLIGHT to hold it in place while you sew and reduce fraying.
- Polyester (Sew-On): Non-Stretch with a soft brushed finish. Best for quilts that will undergo frequent washing or heavy use. Permanently printed and fade-proof. Perfect for gifting, ensuring the label remains intact and vibrant over time.
Quick Tip:
If your quilt will live mostly on a bed or wall and be gently cared for — cotton is classic.
If your quilt will be gifted, used daily, or needs to survive the wash over and over — polyester is your best friend!
