Description

Let your quilt speak for itself—with a little humor and a lot of personality! This playful quilt label features the pun-perfect phrase:

“This is nacho your average quilt… made especially for you.”

Complete with a cute tortilla chip design, each label is personalized with the maker’s name, making it the perfect finishing touch for handmade quilts that don’t take themselves too seriously.

Printed as flat sew labels, these come on a sheet and are designed to be sewn directly onto the quilt surface for a polished, professional finish.

Label Details

  • Label size: Approx. 2.5" x 2"

  • Quantity: 6 labels per sheet

  • Personalization: Maker’s name

  • Material options:

    • Cotton fabric – soft, classic quilt label feel

    • Polyester fabric – smooth, durable, permanent print

  • Style: Flat sew labels (labels come on a sheet and must be cut apart)

  • Use: Sew onto the quilt surface (not intended for seams or bindings)

Perfect for gift quilts, kids’ quilts, fun finishes, or any project that deserves a smile.

Label Care Instructions

  • Cotton Labels: Wash on delicate with cold water. Hang to dry or use a low setting. Avoid high heat to preserve print. Not fully colorfast.
  • Polyester Labels: No special care needed. Machine washable, fade-proof, and long-lasting.

Quilt Label Application

  • Cotton Labels: Backed with HeatnBond Featherlight. Temporarily holds label in place while sewing. To reduce fraying, fold edges under before stitching.

  • Polyester Labels: Trim and sew directly onto your quilt. Optional to fold edges under—extra fabric is included for that.

Cotton vs. Polyester Comparison

🌿 Cotton (Sew-On) — Recommended

Classic quilting cotton look and feel. Soft, thin, and easy to sew by hand or machine. Best for heirloom, bed, or display quilts with gentle care.

👉 If unsure, choose cotton.

✨ Polyester (Sew-On)

Not quilting cotton. Thicker, non-stretch fabric with a soft, fuzzy (suede-like) feel. Extremely durable and fade-proof. Great for baby quilts, kids’ quilts, and frequent washing. Do not choose if you want a traditional cotton look.
