Description

Add a little sass to your finished quilt with these “Stitch please, this took forever” personalized quilt labels. Featuring a bold cheetah print sewing machine accented with gold and rich red florals, this design is perfect for quilters who know exactly how much time (and patience!) went into every stitch.

Each label is personalized with the maker’s name, making it a fun and memorable finishing touch for quilts made with love, determination, and maybe a little swearing along the way.

Printed on high-quality cotton or polyester fabric, these labels are durable, soft, and designed to last for generations.

Details:

  • Phrase: “Stitch please, this took forever”
  • Personalized with the maker’s name
  • Add a year (optional)
  • Label size: approx. 2.75" x 2.25"
  • 6 labels per sheet
  • Material options: Cotton or Polyester

Please Note:
Cotton and polyester labels are printed on a fabric sheet and must be cut apart before sewing. These are flat labels designed to be sewn onto the back surface of the quilt.

Perfect for gift quilts, show quilts, or any project that truly took forever to finish.

Designed with love by Jammin’ Threads.

Label Care Instructions

  • Cotton Labels: Wash on delicate with cold water. Hang to dry or use a low setting. Avoid high heat to preserve print. Not fully colorfast.
  • Polyester Labels: No special care needed. Machine washable, fade-proof, and long-lasting.

Quilt Label Application

  • Cotton Labels: Backed with HeatnBond Featherlight. Temporarily holds label in place while sewing. To reduce fraying, fold edges under before stitching.

  • Polyester Labels: Trim and sew directly onto your quilt. Optional to fold edges under—extra fabric is included for that.

Cotton vs. Polyester Comparison

🌿 Cotton (Sew-On) — Recommended

Classic quilting cotton look and feel. Soft, thin, and easy to sew by hand or machine. Best for heirloom, bed, or display quilts with gentle care.

👉 If unsure, choose cotton.

✨ Polyester (Sew-On)

Not quilting cotton. Thicker, non-stretch fabric with a soft, fuzzy (suede-like) feel. Extremely durable and fade-proof. Great for baby quilts, kids’ quilts, and frequent washing. Do not choose if you want a traditional cotton look.
